The East Side's newest and best night out, Bourbon Streak Variety launches June 6 exclusively at Masq hosted by The Lady Aye - "The Sweetheart of the Sideshow."  Sexy, funny, and glamorous;the show has its roots in the golden era of New York's nightclubs and its heart in the red-hot downtown performance scene. Audiences are invited to enjoy fine dining, specialty cocktails and some of today's brightest variety stars. This month's edition features: Mistress B, the twisted balloon babe; Grace Gotham, burlesque's "Scandal of the Silk Stocking District"; and, Miz Stefani, the soulful chanteuse.

It’s one thing to be entertained by a performer, but entirely different to be inspired by one. On Thursday, May 16th 2013 6:30pm – 8:30pm Wix Lounge ( plays host to a group of extraordinary performers. This salon-style, variety show shines a light on some of the most innovative performing talent in the Wix community.   Inspiration Cabaret at Wix Lounge will be hosted by The Lady Aye, "Sweetheart of the Sideshow" and Noah Scalin, artist and author of Unstuck: 52 Ways to Get (and Keep) Your Creativity Flowing at Home, at Work & in Your Studio and will feature performances by Slashtipher Coleman, Kyla Ernst-Alper, Emma Gordon, Miz Stefani and more.  Following some lively and surprising performances, a moderated panel discussion and Q&A with the performers will give insight into the practice and imagination that went in to developing each artists’ work.  Inspiration Cabaret is a unique evening of entertainment that inspires audiences to put creative practice to use in their personal and professional lives. Event producer Mica Scalin, co-founder of The Alternative Speakers’ Bureau, ( created Inspiration Cabaret to showcase artists, but also to put the creative practice in the spotlight, “This is an intimate and engaging experience, which allows the audience to connect on a different level with the performers by learning about how they do what they do and that creates a different kind of relationship between the performer and the audience.” Tickets MUST be purchased in advance, there are no door sales.
